Dr. Ogi Ressel
Dr. Ogi Ressel is an international lecturer, staff writer and expert columnist for
alive magazine, Canada’s largest health publication. His “Kids-First” pediatric
columns are very popular with Canadians and appear in a number of
newspapers across Canada and the United States.
Dr. Ressel is a chiropractor and researcher and has had numerous peer-
reviewed clinical papers published in professional journals. His book, Kids-
First: Health With No Interference. How to Raise a Healthy Child Outside the
Medical Model released in 2001, is already in its second printing. He is
currently working on his second book for Adults.
Education Background: Dr. Ressel is a graduate of the University of Toronto
where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in physiology in 1972. He
graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 1976
as a Doctor of Chiropractic. In 1980 he received his specialized Chiropractic
Radiology degree, and in 1996, Dr. Ressel was the recipient of a Fellowship in
Pediatrics from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and
obtained his Certification in Pediatrics from Life University, Marietta, GA.
Industry affiliations: Dr. Ressel has been very politically active in the
profession and was not only a Council Member for the College of Chiropractors
of Ontario, but also on various committees of the Ontario Association. He has
established a scholarship fund with the Halton Board of Education and is a Paul
Harris Fellow in the local Rotary Club.
Television appearances: Michael Koren show and various local television
children’s- health shows. He has been contacted by the Discovery-Life network
for appearances and professional debates.
National Radio appearances: Dr. Ressel has appeared a number of times as an
expert on CHML radio, Hamilton, Ontario
Lectures: He has given hundreds of public lectures on topics such as Crohn’s
disease, Asthma, Bed-wetting, Ear Infections, Infertility, Vaccination, Wellness,
Scoliosis, Fever, Colic, and others too numerous to mention.
As well, he has lectured professionally at the World Pediatric Conference in
Atlanta, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, the Ontario
Chiropractic Association, and many others.
